What grants does Caribbean Export offer and who qualifies?

Caribbean Export publishes separate calls with different rules. The programme name, live status and current application documents matter more than an old headline amount.

In short

Caribbean Export has offered reimbursement grants, direct support grants and the BRIDGE matching-grant facility, as well as technical assistance and access to angel-investing networks. These are not one standing grant with one eligibility rule.

The BRIDGE 2025 call is closed. It offered up to EUR 50,000 for digital transformation and up to EUR 100,000 for green transition, covering no more than 60% of eligible project costs. The firm had to fund at least 40%. Other programmes in the held sources have different amounts, sectors, countries and disbursement rules.

What the held programmes show

  • BRIDGE 2025. A closed call for digital and green projects by eligible firms operating for at least two years in a CARIFORUM country or Cuba, with financial statements, a company bank account and export activity or credible export potential.
  • DAGS. A reimbursement facility for legally registered firms, individuals and business support organisations with export potential. Beneficiaries incur the full cost and claim reimbursement after completing the approved project.
  • Direct Support Grants Programme. A past COVID-19 response for CARIFORUM firms, with non-reimbursable grants stated at EUR 5,000 to EUR 15,000.
  • WE-XPORT and CBAN. WE-XPORT supported qualifying women-owned firms with training, coaching and access to finance. CBAN links angel investors with Caribbean SMEs; an angel investment is not a grant.

How to prepare for the next call

Start with legal registration, current financial statements and bank statements, an evidence-based project budget, the source of co-financing and a realistic implementation plan. For BRIDGE, evaluation covered financial capacity, relevance, feasibility, sustainability and budget. Costs incurred before award were not eligible.

Check the live opportunities page before doing application work. On 21 August 2026 it listed an OECS MSME Finance Readiness Programme in Dominica with a 25 August 2026 deadline, while BRIDGE 2025 was closed. A past programme page is evidence of how that call worked, not proof that funds are available now.

Questions owners ask

Is BRIDGE open now?

No. The Caribbean Export page in the held source says the BRIDGE 2025 call is closed.

Was BRIDGE a fully funded grant?

No. The EU contribution was no more than 60% of eligible costs, and successful firms had to provide at least 40% co-financing.

Can a new start-up use the BRIDGE 2025 rules?

No. That call required legal registration and at least two years of operation with financial statements. A future call may differ.

Can EICCIO Advisors apply for the owner?

No. We can prepare the plan, cash flow, records and compliance with the owner. The owner signs and submits, and Caribbean Export decides.
