For a Compete Caribbean cluster call, the application included project goals, activities, budget and member details, a signed commitment of counterpart resources and proof of the lead entity's legal status. Evaluation covered innovation, feasibility, economic impact, sustainability and scaling, climate action, and gender, diversity and inclusion.
What the cluster call asked applicants to show
- Project detail. Goals, activities, budget and member information.
- Commitment. A signed letter proving counterpart resources.
- Legal status. Proof that the lead entity is legally constituted in the project country.
- Feasibility. Market demand, technical and management capacity, resources, implementation, governance, risks and mitigation.
What to confirm in the current call
IDB Lab sets the eligibility and funding terms for each product or call. Confirm the registration, impact, ecosystem and counterpart-funding conditions before applying.
The Compete Caribbean cluster call used a project proposal and cluster plan rather than a conventional business plan. It did not list a projection horizon, break-even test or debt-service measure.

No. Registration is only one threshold. IDB Lab also applies impact and ecosystem filters, and each call or product has its own conditions.
